So you finally upgrade your Windows 7, Windows 8 or Windows 8.1 machine to Windows 10 and you’ve been having so much problems that you want to do a Clean installation. There are two ways to do it: the first one is an easy way, which is the reset, second is complete Windows 10 Reinstall.
Reset this PC option
Let’s review the first option in details.
Within your Windows 10 you have to click on the Start button, and then go into Settings. Once your Settings dialog box pop up, click on Update & Security. After that go to Recovery and from here you can Reset this PC.
When you get started you have to select one of the ways: Keep my files or Remove everything.

Keep my files option removes apps and settings, but keeps your personal files.
Removes everything option removes all your personal files, apps and settings.
Complete Windows 10 Reinstall
But now we are going to talk about the second option. This option for those of you who just want to completely reinstall Windows 10. Where would you get the DVD? Where would you get the ISO? Where would you get the stuff?

Microsoft provided us with this nice little tool called Media Creation Tool. You can download it by clicking on the link.
Run it once it downloaded. It is going to pop up a nice little window and give you two options. One option is to Upgrade now and the other option is to Create a bootable media. We are not going to use the first option because we already in Windows 10. So click on Create installation media for another PC.

In the next section you have to select the language, Windows edition and type of architecture. After that just click on Next.
Now it gives you two options of how you want to create the bootable media. You can create a bootable USB flash drive or create an ISO file to burn it to a DVD.

We are going to create an ISO file, so let’s start.
First of all, we have to name the file and specify the file location. Next the downloading process will begin. The process takes between an hour and an hour and a half. Once it done you should burn the downloaded ISO file to a DVD.

Now, it’s time to clean install of Windows 10. If you guys do this installation, it is going to completely wipe. Just reinstall your machine and boot from CD/DVD.
If you did everything right you will see the starting window. Just click on Next and in the following window click on Install now.

It is going to ask your activation key. Remember, Microsoft is giving us Windows 10 for free for a year. So if you have this dialog box just click on I don’t have a product key.

In the next section it is going to give you the option: Install Windows 10 Pro or Windows 10 Home. We are going to install the Home version. Click on Next and from here let’s agree to the License.
Click on Next and select the Custom: Install Windows only (advanced) type of installation. The reason why we choose custom installation is because the other option is upgrading and we want to just clean install Windows 10.

Select the local drive where you want to install Windows and click on Next. It is going to completely wipe it, reformat it and install Windows 10.
